As the founder and Executive Chairman of Hipac Healthcare, Phil Sneddon has been instrumental in the company’s success since its inception in 1986. He has a wealth of experience in healthcare management and business development, having started his professional journey with a father-and-son business building and refurbishing operating tables in Sydney.
Phil’s commitment to meeting customer needs and providing exceptional customer service has been a driving force behind Hipac’s growth and success. His expertise and dedication to putting patient and healthcare provider well-being at the forefront have made Hipac one of Australia’s leading suppliers and manufacturers of advanced healthcare products and services.
With over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Phil’s vision and commitment to providing innovative healthcare solutions has made Hipac a trusted name in the industry. He continues to lead the company with the same passion and dedication that he had when he founded it.
When not working Phil enjoys quality time on winter days with close friends around an open fireplace! Other times he enjoys long drives to new destinations. The long trips facilitate valuable, uninterrupted reflection time, an environment where he can find simple, efficient solutions to complex issues.
Since November 2022, Francois has been instrumental in shaping the financial landscape of Hipac as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). His expertise in financial operations and strategic direction has been crucial for the company’s growth. Stepping into the role of General Manager in July 2024, Francois will oversee the company’s overall operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business areas, and setting strategic goals that align with Hipac’s vision for continued success.
Before joining Hipac, Francois held senior management positions at global healthcare organisations, both at national and APAC levels. In these roles, he effectively managed the finance function, taking charge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, Francois also served in various financial roles at the global and European regional levels within the same organisation, further enhancing his expertise and knowledge in the industry.
In his leisure time, Francois can be seen outdoors, actively involved in a range of activities such as travelling, camping, hiking and tennis.
George has been an integral part of the Hipac team for the past 15 years, bringing a wealth of experience in sales, quality assurance, and customer service to his role as Head of Operations. His extensive background within Hipac, complemented by prior experience in government roles, has equipped him with a deep understanding of operational processes and a strong commitment to enhancing efficiency. George’s dedication to delivering exceptional service and fostering quality has been vital in driving Hipac’s success.
In previous roles, George has consistently demonstrated his ability to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction, ensuring that Hipac meets and exceeds client expectations. His strategic insights and collaborative approach have been instrumental in shaping the company’s operational framework and supporting Hipac’s growth.
Outside of work, George enjoys spending time with family and friends, often taking leisurely walks and engaging in his passion for breeding tropical fish. He finds inspiration in nature and values the chance to recharge, fuelling his innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Vanessa joined Hipac in 2022, leveraging over 25 years experience in sales and marketing within healthcare, health insurance and corporate health management. Prior to joining Hipac, Vanessa worked at Elekta. Working as their Marketing and Communication Manager for Australia before expanding her responsibilities and to cover Asia Pacific, Vanessa was responsible for delivering effective marketing and communication strategies across different markets and product lines.
Before joining Hipac, Vanessa served as the Marketing and Communication Manager for Australia at Elekta, later expanding her role to cover the Asia Pacific region. In this capacity, she was responsible for delivering effective marketing and communication strategies across diverse markets and product lines.
Away from the office Vanessa enjoys exploring different cultures through travel and cooking and keeping active through netball and walks with the dog.
Wesley Sneddon is a highly accomplished sales executive with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes through innovative solutions. With over 15 years of experience at Hipac Healthcare, Wesley has developed a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and a particular focus on the Australian operating theatre suite.
As Head of Sales, Wesley works closely with management to develop strategic partnerships with international health providers, ensuring that Australia is at the forefront of the latest innovations in surgical and mental health markets around the world. With a background in business management and a keen interest in design and engineering, Wesley has a thorough understanding of Hipac’s supply chain operation, the clinical applications of its products, and the complex regulatory requirements of the industry.
Away from the office Wesley and his family enjoy spending time supporting the family’s interest in sustainable farming practices in Australia and New Zealand which includes a beef finishing model and specialty market gardening operations.
Kent was appointed Executive Director in 2024, with a responsibility in developing the strategic direction, fostering a strong corporate culture, and ensuring operational excellence. Prior to this appointment, Kent was General Manager where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of Hipac’s operations. Kent has over 16 years of experience working with the company and has held various key positions in Operations, Marketing, Project Management and Sales.
As a third-generation family member who grew up in and around the business, Kent has been involved with Hipac Healthcare from a very young age where he initially learnt to decommission old operating tables and prepare and assemble positioning devices. He has built up extensive knowledge in all aspects of the business by working in each department and has completed tertiary studies in Accounting and General Management.
Kent’s proven leadership, strategic insight, and deep industry knowledge continue to be instrumental in propelling Hipac’s growth and success.
